Medicare does not recognize naturopathic physicians nationwide. Therefore, no naturopathic physicians are covered under Medicare. However, if you have a supplemental policy, our services may be covered.
All cancellations received less than 24 hours before your scheduled appointment will incur a $50.00 charge. Please understand that your scheduled appointment is time that can be used by another patient in need if we are given proper notice.
New patient cancellation / no show policy: If you are a new patient and either do not show up or cancel within 24 hours, our account policy must be signed before rescheduling. If for some reason you either don't show up or cancel within 24 hours twice, than prepayment is necessary to schedule a third new patient appointment.
Intravenous nutrient services: If there is a cancellation after the nutrients have been prepared (i.e., cancellation the same day as services), then a $50.00 charge is incurred. This is to help to defer some of the cost of the nutrients that have been prepared, which must be discarded.
Laboratory work ordered in our office is often covered by insurance. For our local patients, our provider is PeaceHealth laboratories. When using PeaceHealth, your insurance is billed directly at the time of the blood draw. However, if your insurance is unlikely to cover your labs, then the Clinic of Natural Medicine provides discounted rates for labs offered by PeaceHealth. Please ask us about this if you have questions. For patients who must travel a long distance to see our naturopathic physicians, we use LabCorp for patients for patients outside of our immediate area.
Supplement purchases are separate from fees for services like the consultation with the doctor. Payment for supplements is expected at time of purchase. You can contact your insurance company to determine if dietary supplements or nutritional IV's are covered by your insurance plan. The receipt you receive from our office provides a description of each item with its cost. Discounts for seniors and bulk purchases are also available.
Phone consultations are now offered due to the lack of natural medicine experts in various areas of the country. It is not a substitute for a personal visit to your physician. You must be under the care of a physician(s) in your area to do a consultation. Consultations are intended to complement the care you are receiving from your medical practitioner.
In order to gain optimum benefit from your consultation, we ask that you send the following materials BEFORE your scheduled consultation. This will allow the doctor to review your medical issues and reduce the amount of time you are in consultation. The intake form must be received by our office before your appointment is scheduled.
