Christine (Tina) Kaczor, ND, FABNO
Naturopathic Physician
Fellow, American Board of Naturopathic Oncology
President, Oncology Association of Naturopathic Physicians
Dr. Kaczor is a naturopathic physician with board certification in naturopathic oncology. After graduating from National College of Naturopathic Medicine (NCNM) in 2000, she completed a 2-year clinical residency in integrative oncology at Cancer Treatment Centers of America in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She is well versed in the language and protocols of conventional cancer care and this allows her to safely integrate natural therapies that complement the conventional treatments. Dr. Kaczor's ability to integrate conventional and natural therapies stems from her strong background and continuing education in the field of oncology and molecular biology.
She graduated magna cum laude from SUNY- Buffalo with dual undergraduate degrees in Biochemistry and English. While at SUNY, her hands on molecular biology work resulted in a publication in the journal Plant Physiology. Currently, her professional focus is understanding the molecular environment of cancerous growth with the aim of altering the environment in such a way that the cancer is unable to thrive. She uses clinical skills alongside diagnostic screening tools such as genomic testing, blood work, urine, salivary or fecal analysis to assess her patients.
Dr. Kaczor is adjunct faculty at National College of Natural Medicine, overseeing students on a dedicated oncology clinic shift at the NCNM Helath Clinic in Portland, Oregon. She is also adjunct faculty at the Helfgott Institute in Portland, Oregon, a research facility dedicated to researching the application of various natural therapies and agents.
She is also senior medical editor of the peer-reviewed Natural Medicine Journal.
When not practicing in her clinic, teaching or editing, Dr. Kaczor is involved in promoting naturopathic oncology through lectures and actively expanding the recognition and role of natural medicine in cancer care.
Dr. Kaczor is the former president of the Oncology Association of Naturopathic Physicians (OncANP), and the current treasurer of the organization. The OncANP is a professional membership organization with the vision of "Enhanced survival and quality of life for people living with cancer through the integration of naturopathic oncology into cancer care."
She is currently the secretary of the American Board of Naturopathic Oncology Board of Medical Examiners (ABNOBOmex), which is the governing body for board certification in naturopathic oncology.
She is also a member of the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians (AANP) and the Society for Integrative Oncology (SIO).
